It’s been talked about how they were doing marriages just in sealing only, how it was to bring more women to heaven, and that Joseph’s marriages weren’t *really* marriages, but the timeline doesn’t work. Sure, the women after her were after 1836, but if we are to say that, then we have to conclude that Fanny Alger was an affair, rather than a plural marriage.
